Instant Pot 6QT VORTEX Plus Air Fryer

Instant Pot 6QT VORTEX Plus Air Fryer, 6-in-1, Air Fry, Broil, Dehydrate, Crisp, Roast, Reheat, Bake, Dishwasher-Safe Airfryer basket, from the Makers of Instant Pot, Stainless Steel
The pick

I keep this on the counter because it ends up being the thing I reach for when I do not feel like turning on the oven. It is the kind of air fryer I would point to for someone who cooks simple weeknight food, wants something fast, and does not have a lot of patience for a fussy appliance. If you are feeding one or two people most nights, or you want one machine that can handle a few different jobs without taking over the kitchen, this makes a lot of sense.

What I like most is that it does the practical stuff well. The basket has enough room for the usual small-batch cooking I actually do, and the heat moves around the food in a way that gives you the browned edges people want from an air fryer without making everything feel dried out. Fries come out crisp, vegetables get a little color, and leftovers stop tasting like leftovers when you warm them up in here instead of the microwave. It is also nice having several modes in one unit. Some nights I want to air fry, other times I just want to reheat something without making it soggy, and this handles that without making me change appliances.

The dishwasher-safe basket matters more than I expected. That sounds like a small thing until you have cooked a greasy dinner and do not want to stand there scrubbing a sticky basket by hand. Being able to toss the removable parts in the dishwasher makes this feel less like an extra chore and more like a normal part of dinner. The stainless look is good too. It does not disappear into the background, but it does look like it belongs in a real kitchen instead of a dorm room.

The one thing I would change is the control panel. It is a little more button-heavy than I prefer, and the preset options are not the parts I end up caring about after the first few uses. I get why they are there, but I would rather have a simpler layout with the basics front and center. Once you get used to it, it is fine, just not as immediately natural as the cooking part of the machine.

I like that this does not try to be clever. It is an air fryer first, and a decent one, with a few extra functions that are actually useful instead of gimmicky. I have used enough kitchen gadgets to know that a lot of them look better than they cook, and this one feels more honest than that. It gets dinner moving, it keeps cleanup manageable, and it does not demand much from me when I am tired.

If your kitchen is short on space or your weeknights are usually rushed, this is a solid pick. I would recommend it to anyone who wants an air fryer that can take on more than one job without turning into another appliance they regret buying. For me, that is the real value here. It saves time, it cleans up easily, and it does the everyday cooking jobs I want done without making a fuss.
